2 dead spiders and an accident report

Yesterday was Dane's first accident at daycare :( He was playing in the toy pool and another child reached into the pool and scratched Dane on the forehead. He has 4 long scratches right above his right eye. I asked Brenda if he cried and she said that he was really startled and she picked him up and gave him lots of TLC. She washed the scratches with soap and water. I wish it were me that comforted him, but Brenda is such a warm and kind lady that I am glad it was her that was there to step in for me. The scratches are almost all healed today - gotta love super healing babies!! I had to sign off on an accident report that will be kept in his file....Imma gonna kick that other babies butt when I find out who scratched him....haha, I kid people!! I kid!! I know it was just an accident.... :o)

As I was cleaning today I found two dead spiders side by side. I said to myself "Self...have I stumbled upon Romeo and Juliet of the arachnid type? Were these two lovers that decided they couldn't live without each other and committed suicide? Or were they two arch enemies dueling to the death? Or were they friends holding each other close while they froze to death because we left the window open last night?" I guess I will never know, but as I scooped them up in 7 paper towels (I wanted a large enough barrier between them and my hand just in case they decided to come alive and bite me....yes, i am a little crazy when it comes to spiders....they freak me out) I had a moment of silence for whomever they were before I chucked them in the trash.....

On a happier note, I got some sleep last night! Dane slept from 9:00 -1:30! then from 1:45 till 4:30! then he was up till 6:30 (booo, but at least Darren got up to hang with him for a bit so I could go back to sleep) then he went back to sleep at 6:30 and slept till 9:00! I decided to give him 2 ounces of formula mixed with breast milk last night right before bed and crossed my fingers, eyes, and toes that it would keep him asleep so I could recharge my batteries, and it worked! Yahoooo!!!
