Dane has been doing OK in the toddler room....he was such a big boy in the infant B room, and now the switch to the toddler room i think gets to him every once and a while. There are so many kids his size that he cant be "top dog" anymore. Zoila, his new teacher, says he hates being outside. That is SO out of character for him. She says he sits at the door and just cries because he wants to go inside. Once he is inside he is happy as can be. She thought maybe he was cold? Nope.... thought maybe his shoes didn't fit? Nope.... I think its because he can see his old room (infant b) from outside and misses that room and his teachers, and it makes him sad. Poor guy :(
At least he hasn't tried to bite anyone though since his transition! That is a plus!!
We finally cut his baby mullet too. I thought I'd be more upset, but it looks much better now so it really didn't bother me. He could have cared less too - the sound of clippers didn't even phase him. I kept the hair of course and will put it in his baby book. It was only a small section in the back where his hair seems to be growing - unlike the rest of his head! :o)
His vocabulary is outstanding at this point...he "knows" a ton of words - and can repeat almost anything you ask him to. He is signing like crazy too. I didn't think he'd ever get into signing, but since he's been in the toddler room (i know, its only been a week and he's learned so much!) he signs "more" and "eat" and he used to only sign "all done". He also is pointing to his nose, eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, feet, toes, fingers, hands, knees, legs, hair, head, and button (belly) and can say each of those things. He loves to try on every ones shoes too - and i caught him trying to walk around with mine on - it was so cute!
