Breaking the Cycle - Day Two

Could it really have only taken one night to break the cycle? Now, I don't want to count my chickens before they've hatched, but we had a great night last night!!!

We started it off with a bath at 7:00...then a massage....then I fed him oatmeal, which he was not interested in until I mixed it with Natures Best Organic Sweet Potatoes...and OH MY GOODNESS! He gobbled it ALL up! He ate all of his oatmeal plus almost half the container of sweet potatoes....piggy! Around 7:30 I started to read him a story....at 7:45 I nursed him to sleep and by 8:00 Dane was in dreamland.

He awoke at 11:30 and Darren went in and just stood there and hummed for about three minutes and Dane was fast asleep again (Go D!).

For some reason from 11:30 - 12:30 my brain would not shut off (dagnabit brain...I could have had an extra hour!!) but I finally drifted back to sleep at around 12:45.....

Dane awoke at 1:15 for a feeding - thank goodness because my boobs were very full! (sorry if TMI, but if you ever breastfed you know how uncomfortable it is!)

He went back to sleep around 1:25 and slept until...wait for it...........wait for it........7:00!!!!! Holy moly!! We just had almost 6 hours of sleep in a ROW!!

Now, not to be pessimistic (OK, i am always pessimistic, so this is status quo) but I certainly hope this isn't a fluke....I could really handle waking up once a night!

We will see how tonight goes!!
