Nicki had set the expectation that he would sleep until 10am. Do you think that happened?.....uh, no. As soon as Nicki left the house, which was around 6:45am, Dane woke up. I thought I tried it all, but was unsuccessful at every attempt to get him to calm down. I even gave him milk several times. The poor kid pooped a billion times on Wed from all the feeding sessions.
This brings us to today, Thursday. Oddly enough, if he is tired, he gets cranky. (I know you Moms out there, you're chuckling) This is normal, but counterintuitive to men. If a baby is tired, go to sleep...don't cry about it. So (Nicki is cringing at my use of So), I worked through the crying, since I checked everything else off the list. Wouldn't you know it, he went to sleep, twice!

Yay! I am so glad that it is better for you! I am very proud of you and happy you are sticking it out and not sending Dane to daycare early. Dane will be happy too!!
You're doing a great job, Darren. Dane is lucky to have you home with him for these two weeks. Enjoy them. And if it makes you feel better, even moms have to figure out the "why is he crying" drill!
