Well.....ladies and gentleman....I've had my first contraction!! Braxton Hicks contraction anyway...... I was just sitting at work and all of a sudden my tummy got really tight and hard for a minute or two. That is the only one I noticed so far. It really freaked me out!!! I also had a few dizzy spells this morning as well, but I attribute that to being hungry. I had a prenatal appointment yesterday and everything is measuring perfectly! If all goes well baby Dane will be right on time!!
For those of you who dont know what Braxton Hicks are:
Braxton Hicks contractions are a tightening of the uterine muscles for one to two minutes and is thought to be an aid to the body in its preparation for birth. Not all expectant mothers have these contractions. They are thought to be part of the process of effacement, the thinning of the cervix.
We have a little over 5 weeks to go! Can you believe it? Soon baby Dane will be here!! :o)
